Notice of Casual Vacancy at Ruyton XI Towns Parish Council

Resignation of Councillor Harrison and notice of casual vacancy

Some of you may have heard that Councillor Ryan Harrison is stepping down from the Parish Council in order to make the move into teacher training. Councillor Harrison’s resignation means there is now a ‘casual vacancy’ in the parish council. We have notified Shropshire Council and you can view or download the Notice of casual vacancy here.

Councillor Harrison has been an active member of the council since joining in 2017, and having a younger voice has been of great value to both the council and community. He has been particularly instrumental in researching and preparing reports, and setting up a steering group to look into the possibility of a Neighbourhood Plan for the Parish, which was no small undertaking. The Parish Council is of course sad to see Ryan leave, and would like to thank him for all his hard work and dedication to the community over the last 3 years – all whilst studying full time for his university degree – and we wish him all the very best for his career.
