Emergency Road Closure

I am writing to inform you of an emergency road closure that this expected to commence shortly on the B4397 through Shottaton, near Ruyton XI Towns due to a Severn Trent water leak.

The closure is necessary to allow emergency repair works to take place and is expected to cause some disruption in the area. Please be advised that this may impact local bus services and traffic flow.

At present, the works are hoped to be completed later this evening with the closure being lifted at some stage tomorrow morning following reinstatement, but I will provide a further update as soon as more information becomes available.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we manage this situation. We have highlighted to Severn Trent Water the need to repair this fault swiftly so as to avoid pro-longed disruption at this location.
